Leadership/Followership: Two Decades on the Dark Side – A Conversation With Barbara Kellerman

Barbara Kellerman’s first foray into bad leadership was on the cusp of the 21st century, with an essay titled “Hitler’s Ghost: A Manifesto.” Now, twenty years later, she realizes that “bad” has been her running theme. That bad leadership and followership are not only a large part of her work – but a large part of the human condition. Her talk from ILA’s 2023 Global Conference explores what is and what might be – as they relate to the abuse of power and authority.

The conversation is moderated by Dr. Gayle Spencer. Director of the Illinois Leadership Center at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

Dr. Barbara Kellerman is an ILA Lifetime Achievement Award winner.  For more information, visit her page
