In the first segment, Dr. Christopher Washington of Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio will join Maureen to discuss the importance of J.E.D.I. (just, equitable, diverse, and inclusive environments) S.P.A.C.E. (supportive, purposeful, accountable, collaborative, and evaluative practices). The second segment will be with Valrie Grant, the Managing Director of GeoTechVision and one of the five 2020 WE Empower UN Sustainability Development Goals Challenge Awardees.
She will discuss the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion at every level of leadership, including the board room.
About Dr. Christopher Washington

Dr. Christopher Washington is a tireless supporter of global leadership development, designer of accessible, inclusive and relevant education, and champion for the role of universities in workforce development. He serves as the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs for Franklin University, a private, nonprofit institution of higher education. Dr. Washington takes an active role in his local community by serving on the Board of the International Visitors Council and on the U.S. Global Leadership Coalitions Ohio Advisory Council. He currently is a member of the Forbes Nonprofit Council and is the immediate past Chair of the Board of Directors of the Washington D.C. based Global Ties U.S.
About Valrie Grant

Valrie Grant is the Managing Director of GeoTechVision, a knowledge services company she founded and built into an international provider of a range of customized services and data-driven solutions for governments, NGOs and corporate entities. Valrie is a lifelong learner who is passionate about Technology and Entrepreneurship, and relishes every opportunity to mentor women entrepreneurs and young people. She sits on several national, regional, and international Boards and Committees. Valrie is a 2020 WE Empower UN Sustainability Development Goals Challenge Awardee.
