Are we truly building a sustainable world — or just repeating past injustices in green disguise? Dr. Randy Ramadhar Singh, a global climate leader specializing in energy justice for small island nations, joins us to share his leadership perspective.
Dr. Randy Ramadhar Singh is a Trinidad and Tobago physicist, educator, and global climate leader, specialising in energy justice, just transitions, and energy policy and governance. His work sits at the strategic intersection of science, law, and equity, shaping how hydrocarbon-dependent small island developing states navigate a low‑carbon future. After having worked and studied in the United Kingdom for over a decade. Dr Ramadhar Singh presents with a PhD in Physics (Just Energy Transitions) from The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, and advanced training from Harvard, Imperial College London, Aalborg University, the World Bank and the University of Cambridge (Lucy Cavendish), Dr. Ramadhar Singh leads with both technical depth and policy fluency as an expert adviser on range of global projects on Policy, Energy, Justice and Climate Action. Notably, as an IPCC AR7 Lead Author and Reviewer, he helps shape the global evidence base on climate change, bringing the lens of justice, vulnerability and transition governance to one of the world’s most influential scientific processes.
