What if the future of leadership is not about maximizing profits at all costs, but about rediscovering empathy, cooperation, sustainability, and shared prosperity?
In an era marked by climate change, social fragmentation, employee disengagement, and growing skepticism toward business institutions, leaders are being asked a fundamental question: What is the purpose of enterprise? This thought-provoking and highly interactive webinar explores how lessons from history, indigenous traditions, modern science, and innovative organizational models can help leaders build organizations that are both financially successful and deeply human.
Drawing on examples from credit unions, cooperatives, social enterprises, and pioneering business leaders, participants will examine the concept of Cooperative Advantage: the idea that organizations create lasting value when they cultivate a spirit of care, meaningful dialogue, and consensus-building. Participants will be challenged to rethink conventional assumptions about capitalism while exploring how organizations can create economic value, strengthen communities, and contribute to a more sustainable future.
Through research-informed storytelling, reflection, and real-world examples from around the globe, attendees will discover why empathy, environmental stewardship, and stakeholder well-being are not soft ideals, but essential leadership competencies for navigating today’s complex challenges. Whether you are a leader, board member, entrepreneur, educator, or change agent, this session will inspire you to rethink what effective leadership looks like in the twenty-first century.
