Book Buzz from The International Leadership Association 2022 Global Conference. Author John Shoup discusses his book Pursuing Wisdom: A Primer for Leaders and Learners.

This talk highlights what the philosophical, theological, and empirical traditions have in common when it comes to wisdom and provides a corresponding model to better understand, acquire, practice, and teach wisdom. The discussion highlights two important characteristics of wisdom and provides two vivid examples that illustrate the nature of wisdom as defined in the book. The presentation demonstrates that wisdom is a necessary intellectual and moral virtue for individuals to thrive and lead well.
