Speaker Information

Betsy Polk, a facilitator, mediator, process designer, and board certified coach for The Mulberry Partners helps people figure out how to strengthen collaboration, improve communication, resolve conflict, and achieve goals that stick. In addition to her work with Mulberry, Betsy is also the leadership and organization development consultant for the North Carolina Partnership for Children where she develops professional development opportunities for early childhood leaders. Betsy received her master’s degree in organization development from the American University/NTL program in Washington, D.C. and she is an active volunteer and board member for several educationally-focused organizations. She lives with her never-a-dull-moment, always entertaining family in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Maggie Ellis Chotas is a facilitator and leadership coach for The Mulberry Partners. She started her career as a middle school teacher and has served as director and consultant for public and independent schools in Philadelphia, New York City, Charlotte, and Durham. She received her master’s degree in school administration from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In addition to her work with Mulberry, Maggie is senior program manager for North Carolina Ready for Success, a collaboration initiative that ensures seamless transitions for students through North Carolina educational systems from Kindergarten through college and career. She lives with her husband and two children in Durham, North Carolina.
