Program Mission: By the end of the program successful candidates will acquire leadership skills in financial management, education law, managerial communications, personnel issues, effective decision making, and group dynamics. Graduates will meet Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs), derived from the Education Division’s mission and two national standards: Educational Leadership Constituent Council (ELCC) and the Educational Leadership Policy Standards: Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium (ISLLC), and thus demonstrate their ability to be effective change agents and to apply core leadership concepts to solve critical issues in education.
Program Vision: The Master of Education in Educational Leadership is an advanced, cohort program designed to prepare candidates for positions in educational administration, with an emphasis on K-12 school administration.
